OVEA measures how its site is used, and it does so without writing anything to your device unless you agree to it. This page explains what runs, what you are being asked, and how to change your mind.

No advertising, ever
The site sets no advertising cookie and shares no data for advertising purposes. Nothing here is sold, and nothing is passed to an advertising network.
Three states, and what each one runs
Measurement and cookies are two different questions, so they get two different answers.

The site works exactly the same way whichever you pick, and refusing is as easy as accepting: the banner shows two identical buttons, side by side. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, no measurement takes place at all, even if you accepted.
Changing your mind
Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage — not in a cookie, because refusing must leave nothing behind — for six months, after which you are asked again. You can change it at any time: manage cookies, a link that also sits in the footer of every page.
Objecting to the cookieless measurement
Anonymous audience measurement rests on OVEA’s legitimate interest rather than on your consent, so it keeps running even when you refuse cookies. You can object to it, as GDPR article 21 entitles you to: refuse all measurement, even anonymous. The objection is recorded on this device and never expires.
Who processes what
Measurement uses PostHog’s European instance, with the data hosted in the European Union. The requests travel through an OVEA subdomain (t.joinovea.com) before reaching PostHog: your browser sends nothing directly to a third-party domain. The site’s fonts are self-hosted, so no external request is made for them either.
